ever travel with anyone on a special diet? My husband is diabetic and on a very restricted diet. We packed cold carrot, celery sticks and mushrooms for our extended car trip. It was cold. So we pulled off at fast foods to buy a cup of coffee. He'd get a hot breakfast muffin (egg & ham) to go along with it. Then we would eat at restaurants. He'd try to maintain his diet and watch the foods -- we couldn't control the seasoning the cook would use and I think the portions were too big and he ate it all. After our vacation, he sufferred a set-back in his health. How to do it better next time? I know -- We should stay home. Apparently no one knows.
