Great afforadable Disney World Packages or Universal Studios? Hi my family and I going to be traveling to Orlando, FL this coming June for vacation. Do you guys know any good travel agencies or sites that offer great Disney World packages? or Universal? It has to include park tickets, hotel and dining meal (or without the meal plan which ever). We most likely travel by car (not sure what are the plans are yet), but traveling by plane is not happening that's for sure. It's only going to be 3 or 4 adults and two kids (un less it depends on age). My dad recently bought a package from Miami International Vacations (MIV) and honestly don't BOTHER! buying anything from them. They are a bunch of rip offs. They were charging him more than he already pay. So I'm not sure whether he's going to get his money back or not, but we are hoping we could find a reliable site that does offer good affordable packages for families. If you please know any, please let me know ok. Thanks. -- Cindy P.S. I already looked in the Disney site. It really doesn't fit our budget in the midtime that's why I'm asking whether they are other options instead from the disney world site. I forgot to mention. It's only going to be 3 or 4 nights. I'm not sure, but it's going to be the same week when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter opens. Around there.

Best places to stay? What to avoid? Park passes/All day passes--are they a yes or no? On average how many days should we be there? General information that you think is good for first timers to Disney World (florida). This is the first trip for me and my husband. Thank you!

On a Disney Cruise package for 4 days land and 3 days at sea, can you pick your hotel at the park? I was on line earlier looking at booking a package for our honeymoon. We wanted to spend more money on a nice room at sea and stay at one of the all-star resorts at the park. They would only let you chose one of the 3 higer price hotels to stay at the park. Purchased Disney vacation package now what? I bought my travel through the disney travel company. ROom, PARK tickets (wtrpk and more), and dining plan. My question is: Do I have to stand in line to activate the tickets when we go to our 1st park? We will be going to DWNTWN Disney when we 1st arrive. I ask because when I went with my boyfriends company 2 years ago, (they paid for it) we all had to wait in line at AK and show our ids and stuff and it took a loooong time. I just want to be prepared!!! Thanks! Itchi, thanks. I have already made dining plans. I know I will have to stand in line to get into the park - but I think when I went with my boyfriend we had to "activate" our tickets. Will I have to do that this time?
looking for package deals to Disney? We are planning a year ahead. Can you tell me a cheap travel agency in Orlando or Miami that can organice my 14 day holidays? I know Disney resorts offer a lot of good packages, but they don't offer you the possibility to go to Miami, or other theme parks like Universal or Sea World. Planning a Disney World Vacation? I have been to their site, and all this is basically information overload. Too many ticket options, too many resort options. And somehow I have ended up with 2 differents sets of travel packages, one of which I thought was done until I realized it wasn't. After I chose my resort and ticket packgae I go back and it's not there! Even after I saved it. There has to be an easier way........right? Should I click reserve and hope for the best? Or just go through a travel agent? Sorry, additional question. This is obviously a sprawling complex, and I am sure they charge you at every chance. How do I make sure I don't get any costly surprises? This vacation itself is costly enough!

What is the Disney Dining Plan at Walt Disney World all about? I have read some websites about it but wanted details from people who have actually used it. Does it have to be part of a package? I booked the Disney land and cruise package and was wondering if I can add the dining plan to my days at the park. Also trying to find tips for saving money on food, snacks, and drinks at the park. I will be traveling with my husband and 3 and 5 year old. I am used to being able to bring lots of snacks, drinks, etc. into Disneyland park. Can you bring these things into WDW? Also, where is a place to get them nearby? We won't have carseats so we will be stuck on Disney property. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!

Walt Disney World vacation in October? I am wanting to go for 3 weeks, is this a good amount of time for me to get better deals rather then going for 2 weeks? I have found out by most travel agencies that 2 weeks is the amount of time packages are set up. ...... Are there any sites that have peoples feedback about these hotels/resorts and what they all experienced?
1st time Disney World Visit, PLEASE HELP!!? Has anyone used Dreams Unlimited Travel b4? I found this website, Dreams Unlimited Travel, for a Disney World vacation, and the price they are offering me for our vacation package is a couple hundred less than what Disney quoted me. (Our package includes to stay at Disney Caribbean Resort, meal plan, hopper passes &more fun option, and express transportation). But I have never used this company or even heard of it. It just came up in a Disney search on the net. They do offer an itenerary for you and they offer to make your dining reservations for you also. Has anyone heard of this company, anyone used them, what was your experience. Advice please, its a good deal but I dont want to be ripped off. Also, we arrive on the 23rd at 11am, but our hotel says checkin is not until 4, and from what I am told everything is connected to the room key, we will be allowed to go the parks before 4pm, or is an early check in allowed? Any adivce for a 1st time trip, 2 kids - 9 & 12 years old.

Any tips for planning an affordable Disney vacation for a group of college students? In October of 2009, I, along with a group of college friends (who are all 21+) are looking to plan a trip to Walt Disney World in Florida for a long weekend in order to attend the International Food and Wine Festival. As we are all on a budget and have time this summer to save up, we are still looking for any way we can cut down on costs. Right now, we have about 5 people signed up to go, but there could be as many as 8. We would like to stay on Disney property in order to take advantage of the Disney Extra Magic Park Hours. I have been to Disney on a number of occasions and know where to stay for what prices, but I'm looking for any helpful advice on cheap packages, traveling (preferably by plane), and other things within the park. Any help would be greatly appreciated. It is our last big bang before this group of theater kids leaves for the real world - we want this Disney magic to happen!
Best way to plan for "disney world" vacation. Who to go through? Planning a Disney World vacation with my family. Trying to find best deal package. Not sure who to go through as far as traveling agency, etc.
Planning a trip to Disney in Sept, struggling for best way to get there with increased travel costs. Ideas? We are planning our umpteeth trip to WDW in September. We haven't been in two years and the youngest doesn't remember the last trip, so this is a big deal for us. We will be staying a week and have booked a great package. However, now we are struggling with the best way to get there - on the cheap. In the past we've always found airfaire (from Nashville to Orlando) for about forty nine dollars each way. Of course, we've never had to pay for our youngest but will this time. Best deal I have found is around eight hundred dollars total for a family of four to fly down. Buses are out of the question with young kids and although we can drive, we'd rather not due to the length of the drive. Also, seems like that in and of itself would be pretty expensive due to gas and the probability of having to stay somewhere overnight on the way. Okay, so what would you do? I need to come up with the best/cheapest way to get to Orlando from the Nashville area in September for a family of four
looking to do an alaskin inside passage cruise on Disney cruises (have 2 kids) any info please? I have 2 x adiults and 2 x boys aged 10 &11 (in 2011) looking to travel from Australia to LA to visit disneyland and also do a 7 day inside passage cruise. Thought we might do a package deal with Disney cruises (the kids would love it). Does anyone have any info on Disney cruises and also any ideas on packages Aus to LA, Disneyland and Alaska???
Does anyone have travel tips for Universal in Orlando, FL? We are planning on going to Universal Sept 6-12. park passes are included with the hotel stay- so you can visit any of the 2 parks for 7 consecutive days - free (no need to buy the 2 days/ 5 free)! Total price with roundtrip air from Midway, 6 nights at the Universal Royal Pacific Resort (standard room), Alamo (midsize) car rental, and 7 day park passes at Universal for two passengers (1 adult, 1 child) $1712.07 Same package above for 2 adults, 1 child $1885.27 I have never taken a trip like this before. Does this sound like a good deal? We were also thinking about hitting Disney for a day. What park would be ideal for myself and a 9yr old? How much spending money is a resonable (realistic) amount? What kinds of things shouldn't we miss?
How does Disney's Magical Express(DME) work? I'm having a vacation at DW and I'm traveling with DME. I've already made the reservations and the money is paid. A few days before the trip(this Friday), i received a package which includes luggage tags that I'm supposed to stick unto my luggage, but no air ticket. How do I get the air tickets?
Best time to purchase Disney vacation package and receive good deals? My wife and I are planning to trave to Disney world from 1/1/2009-1/6/2009. Currently they have a special on value resorts, but unfortunately it expires at the end of the year. Based on past experiences, what is the chance that they will release another promotion before our trip? I have heard that if I book it now and they release a promotion afterwards, that is valid during my travel, I could possible be refunded. Has this ever happend to anyone? Should I go ahead and book now or wait? Has anyone ever been credited if a promotion occured after they booked?
Walt Disney World Villa/Townhouse Recommendations? We are looking for a massive family holiday for 30people flying from Gatwick. We want to go in August, and will need 6-7 4bed villa's, car hire, and flights Anyone recommend any good travel sites with these packages?? I'm going to Disney World for 10 days in May (2008)? I am only 20 years old (will be 21 when in Disney) and I booked this trip by myself. Only my boyfriend and I will be going. I'm super worried about the trip. When they mailed me the itinerary (it was labled itinerary, was more like a reciept telling me everything i got) I didnt really understand some of the things on it. Luggage tags? Why did I get luggage tags?(I dont actually have luggage tags in my possession, this paper just said (One luggage tag per package, for both people - so I assume that the package is the 8 day park hopper passes and all that, and that my fiance and i will both be getting luggage tags for some reason??) I asked my family memebers who often travel but none of them were able to help me figure out what these things were. When should I call and confirm everything? My biggest fear is that something terrible is going to happen - like that they only signed me up for 1 park hopper pass instead of 1 for each guest (one for me, and one for my boyfriend) Or that they did something like only booked 1 flight and not 2. I did the trip over the phone by calling disney directly. I called once and spoke with a wonderful women. The next time I called I spoke with a man who could not even locate the airport that I will be flying out of (Its a major international airport, and he was convinced that it did not exsist. Finally he called for assistance and found it)... All that I want is to have 2 people booked for the following: The room, the 8 day park hopper passes, the flight, and transportation from the airport to the hotel, and from the hotel to the airport at the end (Which i did ask that they include...which is included when you stay in the park)... any suggestions to calm my worries??
What is the most cost efficient way to plan a disneyworld vacation? There will be three adults and one child, age 6. We will be there for five days and four nights. We want to stay at one of the disney resorts and also have our round trip plane tickets included in the package. We want to visit the ocean on at least one of the days and visit the actual disneyworld theme park at least two of the days of our vacation. Our travel spending limit cannot exceed two thousand dollars. Any suggestions?
Honeymoon in Florida (Disney World)? Howdi!! I am on a mission. A honeymoon mission. But totally lost. Please help!!! H2B and myself plan on having our honeymoon at disney world, I have send off for the disney holiday planning kit, and spoken to travel agents, etc but still not really much closer in booking anything. This is what I need to know. Has anyone had their honeymoon at disney world aswell? If so where did you stay? Did you pay for the flight from the UK, hotel and park tickets together as a package? What package did you get? Can anyone recommend agents to go with, hotel to stay in, etc. I am wanting something fun and lively but also its a honeymoon and want days when we can relax. Any help would be soo gratefully received. I am lost. Thank you in advance. 8-)
disney dining plan? Okay, so my family and I decided we wanted to go to Disney World for my daughter's birthday at the end of August and when we called our travel agent she told us about the free Disney Dining Plan. We usually go to Disney every year but never think about the dining plan, but she said it was free with the package so now were curious about it. We already made reservations at the restaurants we want to go to but I have some questions about them.. We're going to Le Cellier for lunch one of the days and a few people that we've talked to recommended the beer soup? I'm not sure of the name of it, but they said it was very good. Well anyway, it says you can get an appetizer with your meal, now does anyone know, can we get the soup instead of an appetizer? Because I'd really like to try the soup. Also, when we go to these restaurants, our friend told us the tip is included, but I think I'd feel funny not leaving a tip.. are you supposed to..or is it really included? Thanks if you can help!

Is it possible for a family of 4 to visit Disney World for under $2,000 TOTAL and still be enjoyable? ? Hi :) I had the amazing opportunity to visit Disney World this summer. Since I won the trip through 4-H, my family was unable to come with me. As anyone who has visited Disney previously can understand, I immediately fell in love and have been trying to find a way to get my family there since. I am hoping to try to plan a trip sometime during 2010. 4 members of my family would be attending (the youngest being 16/17 in 2010, so it would be all adult tickets). We live in Lake Charles, Louisiana and would most likely be driving, So gas would need to be included in our budget. I know it's very hard to count for gas, since there is no clue how much it will be in 2+ years. This budget of $2,000 would need to include: -Gas -Tickets(and bonus options such as fast-passes, park hoppers, etc) -Food -Hotel -Souvenirs -Wheelchair/electric scooter rentals -And other things I'm probably forgetting :) I have many questions/options to conceder such as: - Is it better for us to buy a package or to buy tickets separately? - If we do buy a package, which one? - When is the best time to go? - Should we stay inside or outside of the parks? - Which hotels inside the parks and outside of the parks are the cheapest? - Should we purchase a meal plan? - Can you buy fast-passes for all of the parks? - Where can you buy fast-passes? How much are they? is it worth it? - Also, my father is physically disabled. What can we do to help him enjoy his stay? -Is it better to buy a package/tickets ourselves, or should we contact a traveling agent? I have done some research, so please don't just tell me to look at the Disney web sites. What I really want/need more then anything is first hand advice from others who have planned Disney vacations before. Of course we would like to stay as many days as possible for our budget and be able to visit as many parks as possible for our budget. If anyone could give ANY advice on how I can make this budget work, it would be greatly appreciated. Also if I have not provided enough information, please contact me at Hyperchick1037@aol.com and I will try to help you help me. (please title your e-mail : Referring to your Yahoo Post about your 2010 Disney trip...) Thank you so much for taking your time to help my family :) Hey guys. I think I should have been a little more specific about my father. He isn't wheelchair bound. He has major back problems. He is able to walk on his own and gets around daily with out any assistance. However, with the walking required at Disney, he would need a wheel chair (preferably a motorized one). Also, we would not be going to either of the water parks, but we are interested in going to Orlando Universal Studios Islands of Adventures. We definitely would like to go to Magic Kingdom (of course), Animal Kingdom, and Universal Studios. As for Epcot and MGM...it would just depend on how long we would be able to afford to stay and if we could afford the tickets. Just thought I should clarify. And thanks SO much for every one who has responded, it really means a lot and I'm getting a ton of great advice!
How much spending money should we bring to Universal + Disney? I am getting married at the end of June, and we are going to Orlando for our honeymoon. I booked a package deal through our travel agent. We will be going to both Universal parks, Seaworld, and all of Disneyworld's parks. This trip is 2 weeks long. Our package includes flight, hotel, admissions, transportation, and food. My question is, how much spending money should we bring? Since this is our honeymoon, we don't want to go cheap, but we cant afford to go all out either. All of our bases are covered with the exception of pure spending money. We will be bringing around $1000, is this enough?
Whats the best town to stay in @ orlando florida near to disneyworld if i was to book a villa? Hi there i would be so grateful if anyone could help me. I'm planning to take my husband and children to disneyworld florida in late 2009 or sometime in 2010. I've heard its best booking a villa and getting flights and tickets etc seperate is this right? if so does anyone know which town near disneyland is the best to stay in as they all sound nice. also does anyone know what time of year is best to go when all the attractions will be open as we'll be going from the uk. lastly does anyone know of any websites where i could get a good deal from for villas, flights and tickets etc or would i be best booking a package deal through disney or a travel agent. sorry for the questions but we've been wanting to go for years and as this is a once in a lifetime oppitunity for the family i want to do it right and in the best way possible. also does anyone know where we can do bookings for around 16-18 people as the rest of my family would love to come if its possible to all go together, thanks jo

Have you seen any adds in your local newspaper about cheap tickets to Disney World? A local news station got a complaint about a suspicious add in the local newspaper. The add says, 2 adult 5 day tickets to WDW at less than $300! When you call the number, you get an answering mechine stating that "the Robinson's aren't at home, and currently going through a devorce but if you're calling about the WDW tickets, call this 800 number to get the information. The number given is for a travel agency trying to sell you a WDW vacation package for more the $700! Also, the travel agency in question, has a bad rating with the BBB. The news station checked other cities, and this same add is in MANY local newpapers. I'm just wondering if anyone else had seen this add and did you get better results?
REJECTED VISA TO FRANCE? I am a UAE resident with Indian nationality and I applied for a tourist visa for me , my wife and son for France. Inspite of all relevant documents, travel bookings and statement it got rejected. The reason I got was "it was rejected by one of the schengen countries" Can I try to re apply on the same grounds because its a genuine and true reason. (I had won a Disney land package tour from a local radio station through AL ROSTAMANI TRAVELS)...WHAAT SHOULD I DO??

What are some good family deals for Orlando, FL Theme Parks? i'm going on a week long trip to Orlando for the 1st time in May (13th-19th) and we're trying to get a good deal on Orlando park tickets. for 3 of those days, we're looking at going to Disney World (probably Magic Kingdom), Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure... but not pay those high gate prices everytime... there's gotta be a package or something for families out there... and then i know IOA isn't for small children so we need the option to pick and choose. my mother and step-dad probably will only attend the day we plan to go to Disney, and lounge at our resort (Westgate) while we seek thrills the other days... ...so anybody know any deals that won't put a dent in our pockets? much appreciated. *by the way, the seven people traveling w/ me so far: me (age 19) and my twin and 16 year old cousin; my nephews (5 and 2) and niece (3); my mother and step-father.
Disney Dining Plan...? HELP! :)

Saving for a trip to DisneyWorld... how much etc? After just recently securing myself a job, my younger sister also, we want to start putting some money aside for a trip, sometime, to Disneyworld cause we enjoyed our family trip to Disneyland soo much in late 2004. But there are some concerns: - How much money would be sufficient each if we were to get the most out of our trip (including staying at a Disney Hotel.. maybe)? Keeping in mind we are in Australia (so would require a plane flight etc) - How long is long enough to get the most out of what Disneyworld has to offer? - In regards to a plane flight, anyone know a reliable travel agency, any package deals etc? (is actually our first time organising something like this so..) We've recently opened up new savings accounts with good interest, but have yet to deposit anything in there (only been working 3 weeks personally & her a little over a month..) Also if anyone has some tips & other info that would be good Any help is greatly appreciated Thanx
