Travel Agency Packages

Who has the Best Disneyland Vacation Packages?

Im wanting to take my family on a Vacation in December to Disneyland. Where would I be able to find the cheapest rates for Lodging and tickets without staying in a Flea bag hotel? Ive recieved prices from Disneyland.com but does anyone have any ideas where i should look, besides thier website?

  1. AAA great deals
  2. albertson's got a discount ticket promo going on for so cal residents right now. may not help you, though.
  3. One thing I have noticed about vacation packages at Disneyland: Unlike the "value menu" at fast food places, you don't get a discount for buying a package. You do get extra perks that the rest of the public does not have access to. So, if your primary goal is to try and save as much munny as possible (sorry, a little Pooh humor there), packages generally don't help. You would need to have an agent or someone local to help guide you away from the flea-traps. Fortunately, I live in the area and know most of the hotels. You didn't mention if you have kids or not, but I find it most handy to stay in a hotel on Harbor Blvd, across the street from the Disneyland entrance. This is very handy for coming back to the room in the afternoon for a rest. My favorite hotels in this area are the HoJo (Howard Johnson: www.hojoanaheim.com), Fairfield Inn, and Candy Cane Inn. There are a number of others, including the Park Vue Inn, Carousel, Park Place Inn, and Tropicana Inn. These are low end motel-type accomodations. You can check out the ratings at tripadvisor.com. As for tickets, your best bet might be a Citypass. It combines a day at Sea World, the San Diego Zoo, and a 3-day park hopper pass to Disneyland. As mentioned by a previous poster, check out your local aaa travel agency. If you don't have one, check out arestravel.com. Be sure to arrive at Disneyland when it opens, to get on the most popular rides early. Get some fast passes and use them in the afternoon when lines are long. Have fun!.
  4. If you happen to live in Canada or even near Canada check ou this website... www.barrettbuslines.com
  5. Expedia.com sometimes has great rates on disneyland rooms, but you need to book early because they only get certain amount of rooms from Disney Resorts. Another hotel you should look at is the Anabella hotel. You will find rates on expedia for your trip. It is actually really nice and only about a 5 minute walk to the grand californian and only 10 minute walk from the park! I would take a look at that. Prices are really resonable there too. I think they have AAA rates. Although you have already looked at disneyland.com, they generally have the cheapest rates for vacation packages. Ticket's are cheapest at Disneyland.com. They are 7% cheaper than any other website or place. Hope this helps!
  6. Try the Candy Cane Inn..I don't know what the attraction there is but people just think it's great...I guess it kind of blends in with your day at Disney....
  7. Costco is currently offering great deals on Disneyland vacation packages. A membership with Costco is required. Check out their website and click on "travel." Then look for the "play like a kid" link for Disneyland. AAA also offers wonderful discounts, if you have a membership with them.
