Travel Agency Packages

Anyone know the best way to travel to the Dominican Republic? Cheap Packages? Good hotels & night life?

I am planning a travel to the Dominican Republic in sept.07 1) is there good weather in Sept.? 2) good hotels, packages 3) where to go for night life & nice beaches 4) any other suggestions Pirana- the only reason i ask is because i have searched online, but have not found some answers to what i was looking for. i prefer to get answers from people with real life past experience to the travel. in one website it might say that their hotel package is great and cheap, but how do i know that is true? From people with experience of course. Get me? Thanks to all for your opinions, i will research all the links you guys have provided me, and take your experiences into thought for the planning of my vacation. Anyone one else with answers, please feel free to email me. Thanks a lot !!

  1. Info about Dominican Republic at http://www.travelinfocentre.com/destination/dominican-republic/overview.html
  2. book an all inclusive package to Punta Cana or Puerto Plata. go to this website http://www.LouMarTravel.com click on the "vacations" tab and select Travel Impressions or Caribbean Vacations.
  3. I am getting married this September in Punta Cana at the RIU resort. It is considered rainy sessions but if it does rain it usually passes quickly. The weather will still be hot and you will want to be in the water. I went last year the end of August and the weather was hot and no rain. My two favorite resorts are RIU and Ocean Blue. Do Internet search and tons of package options will come up or call your local travel agent she can show you all the packages she has. As far as night life, I always stay on the resort. They have plenty of things going on to keep you busy. During the day they do as well but there are lots of great excursion you do not want to miss out on outside the resort.
  4. Not to be cruel..but don't you think that the same method you just did this answer & quest thing that you can do a search for your request. I am just beside myself as to the kinds of questions ppl ask here?? Stop giving me the mental finger lol..i hope u know what i mean here.
  5. Stay away from A.I. packages. The "best way" is not a "Cheap Package." Spend a few days in Cabarete, take a trip to Las Terenas for a few days, then go back to Cabarete when you want. If you aren't tied into a package you can come and go as you please. You are better off just going to Cabarete or Sosua and stay in a nice small hotel, and go to your restaurant of choice each night. Sansoucci Hotel in Cabarete is reasonably priced and its right on the beach 50 meters from the nightlife which takes place on the beach.
  6. There's always good weather!!! Everything is cheap over there! Punta cana is a great place to go! Puerto plata has nice beaches.the people are great! Yes you'll see alot of poor people as well.Other than that is facisnating!!

  8. or you can choose the JUAN DOLIO area,,a Little more Private, quiet, clean , cheap and close to santo domingo city. my email is ma_ogando@yahoo.com if you need to ask me any question about anything !! i live in santo domingo !!
  9. There is a list of great cheap travel sites at http://www.travelbargainsites.com One site lets you compare the prices of all the airlines.
  10. I am a vacation club owner at the gorgeous Lifestyle Hacienda Holiday All Inclusive Resort. You can have a private villa on the resort for only $165.00 a night, that has 3 king size bedrooms, a private pool, villa has granite and marble throughout. The weekly rate is discounted at $1100.00 a week, and the all inclusive rate is $37.50 per day per night. It's stunning. You would have access to the entire resort as well as the exclusive VIP areas. Another option are the junior suites that have a kingsize bedroom ensuite bathroom, kitchen, dining, living room and a scenic balcony, which cost $85.00 per night and the all inclusive rate is $30.00 per day per person Definitely email me...to find out more. I have tons of photos and a personal website. www.officialbasketcase1.com, it's part of my gift basket business..."hence the name", officialbasketcase lol This spot is right in Puerto Plata. There is a lot going on at night, and the weather in September is warm. The airlines are running great specials, especially from nyc.
  11. As a receptive VIP tour operator, I could advise you to go to Puerto Plata and this for many reasons, better beaches, mountains, city nearby, choice of hotels, excursions/tours, Ocean World, night life, and so many more!! Just contact me if you like to have something "different" or if you have more questions. Enjoy it!
  12. We have been to Punta Cana two times. These are some of the nicest beaches in the world. We stayed at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace. I suggest looking at priceline.com or other popular travel sites. They can give you the most preferred destinations, and offer many traveler reviews. Some ot the other websites are good sources for climate info. There are also some good books available in most Barnes and Noble or Books A Million stores. A word of caution. You will most likely find local foods in many of the hotels. They are very good, but less extravagant than many peoples tastes. Pick a place with a lot of dining options so you are not limited with your choices. Also, you will do much better if you know some Spanish or at least make an attempt. Many Americans are surprised and put off when they go to another country and the native people can't communicate with them. This is a beautiful place. I would go back tomorrow if I could.
