why should I miss out on holiday and flight specials because I am travelling by myself?
I am single, in my 50's. Most holiday and flight specials are "per person" if traveling with a companion. I love to be by myself and my friends have lives and families of their own. Why should I have to pay premium prices just because I prefer to travel alone?

- Quite frankly, I don't think people who travel alone should have to incur more costs than two or more people who are traveling together; however, the airlines are using discount gimmicks in order to have more people on the flight(who usually want to sit together, in which they can charge them even more money for advanced seating arrangements) and generate as much revenue as possible. I do not know a way in which you can save money by going it alone, hopefully someone answers your question and tells you a way in which you can.
- I'm 78 and travel all over the world by myself, you need to be street smart, there are bad areas everywhere. Traveled over most of Asia and found it's best be in by dark. Have almost been rolled four times but they see this old rat will fight if he gets cornered, so they take a powder. Have found it's a good idea to pick up a reliable local that speaks their lingo.
