Which one is better to buy air ticket from? - travel agency or directly from airline?

I am planning to take my 8 month old baby to overseas. I want to request a bassinet and special meals for him. Is it better to buy ticket directly from the airline so that I can request all those things personally or does travel agency do all that for me?

  1. Either would be fine. The agent is going to charge you a small fee, but it might be worth it to have them handle all the particulars.
  2. I think it's always better to go with an online travel site. I've been using yourtripstartshere.com. They're the lowest I've found online.
  3. Directly from the airline. If you have any problems you deal directly with the airline, not a middle company.
