How to travel from the U.S to Cuba?

I've been looking into taking a vacation and after seeing Cuba on The Today Show the other week; I decided that I wanna go. I know that it's illegal for Americans to travel there, but I wanna go anyways. Please give me details on how exactly to get to Cuba from Houston, TX and back home from Cuba and if you have any tips or advice for Americans traveling in Cuba than would help also. I know that you can get a special license to travel there it they decided to grant it, but I don't wanna bother b/c I don't wanna take a chance of being put on a watch list by the OFAC or worse.

  1. swim
  2. On a boat or a plane.
  3. You want to reward, with your tourist dollars, a dictator who conspired to base Soviet nuclear missiles within 30 miles of US shores? We have a darn good reason to have an embargo of Cuba, and a darn good reason to prohibit travel there as well. Shame on the Today show, and shame on you.
  4. You can travel out of Canada but you are taking a big risk.
  5. If you have a duo citizenship from a Country where entering Cuba is no problem, thats the best way to go.... You won't be able to enter the country legally with a US based passport without that permission.
  6. Hi, there. Being an american citizen you need to travel through a third country (e.g.Mexico, Canada, Jamaica). I mean, you need to travel to any of these countries and from there to Cuba. When you go through customs in Cuba, they won't stamp your passport so you don't get in trouble. One good tip? make sure you keep a low profile or The American Interest Section in Havana will find out you are there and then you will be in trouble!
