Do I need a special permit to travel into Mexico by car with my Hunting Bow and Hunting arrows?

- I'd check with the Mexican Embassy or border authorities before I tried to cross into Mexico with any kind of weapon. You're in another country there and our laws don't apply. I wouldn't chance it. Good luck. H
- Best bet is to check with US Border patrol, they will be able to tell you, just find thier # in your area and ask your qusetion, there might be restrictions such as the bow must be in a locked case and the arrows in a quiver, etc.
- With all the excellent hunting ground in the U.S. and Canada, why go to Mehico in the first place? Firearms of ANY sort are illegal for gringo Americanos down there, and I'd bet bows and arrows are, too. Not only that, with all the banditos across the border, in uniform and out, a permit won't keep you safe or out of trouble, no matter what your permit, or the consulate might tell you. I live on the border (Yuma, AZ) and wouldn't go more than a 1/4 mile into Mehico for ANY reason, much less with ANY kind of weapon, hunting or otherwise!
